How much can you deadlift?
>>35378719
Not enough
>>35378719
My best ever was 565lbs, but in the last couple months I haven't been able to get past 5.5pl8. Hoping to get up to 600 by the end of 2016
I'm also kinda fat(6'2, ~260) so it's not as impressive as it sounds

I don't know.
I'm just not made to lift brehs.
On the flipside, I'm doing 5/3/1 and so far am making steady progress. All the high rep accesories and AMRAP sets are serving me well. I'll probably be repping 100 kilo like it's nothing in no time.
>>35378719
Did lmao4pl8 the other day. Shit was cash. But my back and knee are kinda aching so i'm gonna take a week off from sqwatz n deds.
>Goodbye, gains.
>>35378994
you could try bringing your shoulders forward for some extra armlength, thats what i do, but im >>35378938
so that might not work with real weight
if you're really some kind of freak with supershort arms and legs so long that they reach all the way to the ground i guess you can put the weight on some platforms so its higher relative your feet

Deadlift is a leverage lift as much as anything
Just play around with your body weight and see what happens
>>35379325
Yeah, I guess. I feel like my technique is pretty solid and it's not disproportionate to my other lifts (if anything it's maybe even one of my stronger lifts..).
I deadlift very "clean" style. My back is about at a 45 degree angle and I'm rather squatty. Upper arms perpendicular-ish to the floor, shoulders right above the bar. Nice tight arch in the back, chest up, drive up with the chest and I generally gaze forward, like Olympic lifters do, sort of looking up almost.
I don't understand the "oh bro you'll snap you neck" shit... I'm not holding the bar with my fucking neck, and plenty of lifters squat (and less often, although many still do it) deadlift looking forwars/up and they seem to do fine.
Do you play a sport at the collegiate level? Because if you actually deadlift that much, are that tall, that young should, and not you are wasting so serious potential...

How the fuck do some of you deadlift that fucking much...I mean, I want to believe, but there are only 2 fucking people at my uni gym that deadlift 4+ plates...1 pulls sumo and the other one pulls with a supermane tier cat back. I've never seen anyone deadlift 3 plates at a commercial gym. I've had normies tell me my 345 deadlift was crazy even though I think its pretty pathetic.
I mean I could probably do more weight and more reps but I'm deathly afraid of snapping my shit up and have never been one for ego lifting.

Are you guys lying? Do you guys have shit form? Or are you guys just in the 1% advanced to elite group?

16 eh? Are you aware you're going to get banned.
Any way I may be a similar age, who knows? Nobody knows for sure. I don't know

It's mostly e-statting
185 for a tribbel @90
>>35379603
It's really not e-statting though. I think a "How much can you DL" thread will always attract a lot of people who have fairly big DLs and want to brag.
>>35379781
>>35379807
I mean I'm sure there is a fair amount of e-stating but what is a realistic percentage of the lifting population that has a 400lb+ deadlfit for reps with above average form? because I've never seen nor heard of one in person...
>>35379603
There's a Father Christmas looking old man at my commercial gym that SLDL's 3.5pl8.
I've seen one bar left on the floor loaded with 4pl8 but didn't witness it getting pulled.
As for e starting its more than likely the guys with the really heavy ones probably repped that for one ages ago and haven't gotten anywhere near it since.
180kg, but i started squatting more and using mixed grip for deadlifts, so i'm hoping to improve quite a bit
>>35379877
The vast, vast majority of lifters don't. The thing is that most people on /fit/ who've been lifting a while started with something like SS or SL that incorporated heavy deadlifts, while the average gymfag didn't.
It's not too outlandish to assume that many of us took it further. 400lbs/180kg isn't even that much after about 1.5-2y training.

In high school for football we would trap-bar deadlift and my heaviest ever was 645lbs for a one rep max (I was 6'4" and 275lbs at the time) now I oly bar around 585lbs for a one rep but I'm down to 235lbs
4pl8 at 195lbs
Sumo obviously because I'm not a fucking manlet to bend so low for a bar

Don't worry friend. I'm at 250 x 5 currently. Greatness awaits us, just straighten your back and hold tight your grip, and soon mires, good posture, and juicy forearms will come our way.
