Been having some knee pain after squatting, thinking of getting some knee sleeves but do they really help or should i just buy some cheap compression sleeve.

no knee pain, i just like using them and keeping them on my feet

I have a pair I got as a gift. I don't feel anything different except a little compression on my knees which feels nice but that's about it. So I guess if your knee pain goes away with compression they'd help.

Fix your form, you must be doing something wrong.
If your knees are cold otherwise, they might help.
Most knee pain is going to be due to form or, less often, overuse. Sleeves keep things warm and "tight" but they won't fix or mitigate the former or later.
Still a good buy though, a pair of rehbands is only like $70

back to reddit, fag!
I used to have knee pain for the longest time. I've recently noticed it went away though, I do have some cheap compression sleeves that I used for a while, they work great. I wouldn't wear them while working out, only when the pain came back, usually while I worked or if I stood for too long.

I had knee pain (left knee only, LBBS) for a long while because of shitty tracking. It would only hurt when I went too deep for squats (knee angle very acute). Got my form verified by multiple people, deloaded a few times too. Eventually I got a box to limit my rom to just below parallel and put on some rehbands to help with tracking (because it applies pressure). Did this for a few months until everything "fixed" itself and I could get low, pain free.
Other things that helped were loosening up the quads by first doing a bit of biking and then rolling the lower quad to ease a bit of pressure on the knee.

Sorry that not all of us were privileged enough to receive a college education

why would you ever say this. even if you're serious, even thinking the word "privilege" just instantly discredits you.

College is free if you aren't a stupid piece of shit

Go see a physio. I had knee pain, turned out I twisted my hip 11-14 years ago from jumping off a swing set. All better now.

Thats actually true
Knee sleeves help a lot for me, but don't get dependant on them.
I also have knee pain after squatting but I have Osgood-Schlatter disease. If your form is good you should go to a physio to get yourself checked
