Its extremly rare to have more then 4 wisdom teeth. And I doubt he extracted all 4-5 at once, or did u have genrel anesthesia? Otherwise you have to get 2 inferior alveolar nerve blocks with will also make your whole tounge numb and that is something all surgeons should avoid.

My 5th one was behind the front wisdom tooth on my upper left jaw. It was a tiny nub tooth. Having extras is not as rare as you think, though it's still pretty uncommon.

My bottom wisdom teeth were tilted towards my second molars, so if I didn't get them out soon, I may have lost these teeth as well. My top ones were tilted away from the other teeth, including the fucked up 5th tooth. It was especially important for me to get these teeth out since i'm currently wearing braces as well.
