Depending on how you sit, but it will affect your posture.

Are bodies circulate best when we are standing, sitting is also bad for your posture and causes your gut to stay relaxed and extend (even if you have low body fat).
Sitting in general does not burn a lot of calories and odds are if you're sitting you are sedentary.
Laying down has no benefits over sitting with exception of correcting posture.
If you want you can use grip tools to work your arms out and keep circulation going. if not do calf raises to force blood flow through the legs.

No it's very painful one time I accidentally sat on my ball and I yelled loud because it hurts a lot. Also I was browsing 4 chan at the time but still it was very painful and it was so painful that I yelled out loud from the pain
