Are decline exercises legit?
legit retarded
>do it anyway
Literally almost the same as weight dips
>>35340942
But with worse ROM
Literally no reason to do decline
>using a meme bench
>doing meme presses
Decline BP fucked up my elbows. The stretch on my ulnair nerves was to big and I suffered nerve damage. Took 6 months to recover. Never again. I now flat bench and dip, no problems and more gains.

Some. I think decline bench press sucks though.
Decline close grip bench, decline triceps extensions, etc are valid though.

Awhile ago someone on here linked to a study that showed decline had the most ekg activity in the chest. idgaf if people believe me or not but you should look it up

Not worth the time desu. They are easy to do so that makes them feel good. But you get more than enough lower pec engagement during flat db. if youre going to add something to flat, it should be incline bench
I for one prefer weighted dips
Decline bench is alright. It's easier on my shoulders.
>>35341561
Same. Tried once and had so much pain. Fuck this retrded fucking exercise
Flat bench is the only pointless one, I do decline 2 times a month, and incline 6 times a month.

Kinda new to lifting. What is wrong with weighted dips? Just the potential to fuck your shit up?
>>35340767
Yeah they are crucial for obtaining that bottom pec definition.
>>35340767
I prefer it over flat, easier to isolate the chest, people in this thread don't know how to do it so they don't like it
I do the decline machines because I don't like to hang upside down like some faggot crossfitter.
I do inlince/flat first, then decline. Always all 3 angles, then some accessory work like flies.
I also do weighted dips (no fedora)
>>35344264
30 degree angle
>upside down
just do flat
if you fail incline bench you will literally die
Everyone I know who dos them have shit chests. I have the best pecs in my gym and built them with flat bench, incline flyes, dips, & machine fly drop sets.

Flyes keep hurting my shoulder, and low weight does nothing for me. Wat do.

Fix and strengthen your rotator cuffs
>>35345501
This. Do military press in the strength range (which should be a key part of your routine anyway) to strengthen your rotator cuffs.
