Are "touch up sets" a thing?
My workout buddy keeps telling me I should do my one-rep max, then deload to what I was originally going to do that day so it feels lighter apparently.

Yep that's the one, I swapped OHP and Bench but other than that it's been working pretty great. I was on SL 5x5 for a while but I like this program a lot better.
