I never post or lurk on this board, but I can't find a more appropriate board to post this on so forgive me.
As of this morning, I've lost motion range on my right hand. You know the feeling you get when you fall asleep on your arm? It's like that, but it won't go away. It feels like some of my hand has fallen asleep permanently. Mainly near the thumb area. I can't extend my fingers while bending the hand backwards. I also tend to click the right mouse button randomly while shitposting.
I've done some independent research and this is either permanent nerve damage or some symptom of carpal tunnel. I'm a 26 year old software engineer and I'd be really fucking pissed if I have some sort of nerve damage in my dominant hand this early in my life.
Looking at the catalog, it seems there is a place for such a thread here. I dunno, please tell me it's just some temporary bullshit that'll go away tomorrow.

One night I slept with all my body weight on my right arm and had NO control over my right hand for a solid 30 minutes. Thought I would have a rubber hand for the rest of my life.

All day. Woke up at 10am, so 8 hours so far. I keep performing self prescribed physical therapy to it by trying to move it to all angles, but it doesn't seem to be helping... If it continues into tomorrow I might just go in and either make it official that it's kill or get told I just need to wait it out.
If they try telling me invasive surgery is required to get functionality back, I'm not sure how I feel about surgery.

Interesting. This sounds like what's going on. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. I sure hope this is what's going on. I do tend to squeeze my hand between my mattress and my headboard when I sleep...
