Glad we all have body dismorphia now instead
Considering the 30's was the great depression in America that was very swole
Looks like he is hiding a gut under those hiked up pants
he'd be pretty ripped if he cut his bf%
this was literally every college bro's goal physique in the early 90s
>>35311828
to normal people who dont lift that is still seen as swole or huge
>>35311828
>tfw you're already this buff
If only I lived in the 30s
>>35311973
It was a simpler time. It was a better time.
>>35312045
>worst economic depression in modern history
>a better time
>>35312121
It certainly made for more austere men.

Was this Scooby's grandpa?
>>35312162
No I think that was the wars.

Charles Atlas had 17 inch arms and a 50 inch waist and was strong enough to rip a phone book in half. Also, considering he built his body without free weights, that's very impressive.
>>35311843
This. Very much this.
>>35312389
>rip a phonebook in half
>feat of strength
Pick one.

How much can Chris bench press?
How did he make gains on heroin and alcohol and hectic touring schedule?

Are you autistic?

He was literally the first Chad
>>35312744
There's a trick to it that you can look up that anyone can do. I'm sure he did it for real though
>>35311828
It's odd that we've transformer from that strongest to today's strongest. Also the fattest man in the world back in the day is probably your drunk uncle body now. I fear where humanities highest and lowest will be in 30 years.

Kenneth Caleb "Chad' McZachherson the 3rd.
OK I'll bite this b8
That was swole back then specifically because there was little reliable information and absolutely no common equipment, compared to the average fuckboy of the time this guy was a fucking tank
With modern information, modern equipment(including roids you can buy on the internet for fucks sake), and glamor lifting being as common a hobby as it is today that is not exceptional at all, that is why an advanced lifter by today's standards is so much better than one almost a century ago. That being said, for the time it took herculean effort to achieve that physique and if you are falling short of a dankhuge bber today, you would probably have fallen short back then.
>>35312744
are you?
its a trick.
doesn't really require strength, just a technique
>>35312913
Do you think the ancient Greeks has better techniques and practices than we do now?

Natty? Anyone know his height/weight?
>>35312045
This picture is the epitome of /fit/
>work hard for a respectful (possibly natty) physique
>DYEL is in the background cuddling/making out with a female as the /fit/izen begrudgingly poses for the normies
>tfw no gf
>as long as I keep lifting someone will eventually love me, r-right?

Chris wasn't a junkie bruh. In the 90s he only did psychedelics and drank. And of course smoked cigarettes.
>>35313652
The people in that picture are probably dead :)
>>35311828
>>This was "swole" in the early 00s
This was "monster muscular" in the 90s.

Given that even their most dramatic portrayals done by themselves for themselves depict otters? Yes
