Opinion on cutting for like 3 months without lifting? Just a lot of cardio.

You'll get skinny and feel really weak and cold all the time.
You'll lose a lot more strength

i am trying a hybrid method where i cut for 3 months and give my body a break from heavy lifting
then ill get back into lifting with less cardio
currently running 9 times a week with no lifting at the moment, starting again in January
I did it when I first started lifting. Best idea imo. Was 6'4 160 doing HIIT twice daily, eating 1lb steak, 100g whey and 2 cups kale. This was years ago, but once I decided to bulk I exploded and got to 215 in 4 months on a moderate surplus with little fat gain.
Just do 100 push-ups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats and a 10km run every day and you will get the results you want.
It's fine to lift as well while doing that.

Why? In the three months you cut you'll lose everything you gained and more
>>35296571
becasue i want to focus on running as I am naturally good at lifting
>5'8''
>175lbs
>1RM:
Squat - 295
Bench - 190
Deadlift - 345

Sorry to burst you bubble but your lifts are pretty average

>>35298213
not really, tahts with training a year with massive breaks in between. quite good when im taking 2 to 4 weeks off at a time
>>35298254
lol
>>35296466
You'll detrain rapidly, why would you want to lose muscle and strength? At least do a few heavy sets 2x/week. Your body will only preserve your gains if it has a reason to, adding more cortisol and more burnt calories is a good way for your body to eat your muscles.
>>35298254
Your lifts suck because your training methods are retarded
>>35296466
don't do this, I did this because I was an overweight fat fuck and I was under the impression that just loosing fat would show my existing muscles underneath, all I managed to do was go from strong fat to skinny fat. I was a strong guy before and now I'm paying the price.
Tho saying that im making pretty fast strength gains now.
>bro science muscle has memory ,kinda true in my case
>>35298304
where no they're not...
>>35298268
whats so funny?
>>35298299
idk man im doing thsi hybrid method, break the fitness goals into sections of the year... i think itll be amazing!
>>35298338
Good luck spinning your wheels. You're gonna end up losing and gaining the same amount of strength/muscle over time and not make any significant progress.
>>35299026
whatever, youre such a hater probably IRL.
ill lose majority fat this way
>>35299464
keep denying the truth
>>35296522
what do you gain by not lifting?
>>35299576
shut up
>>35299581
