>>
Remembering the heartbreak that caused you to start lifting while you're struggling to finish your last rep

Remembering a happy time you had with her just when you thought you were over her

Looking in the mirror at yourself struggling to get a prerequisite for something you used to have before and took for granted in comfortable oblivious ignorance

Knowing that no matter how hard you push yourself that it's going to take time to get where you're trying to go and you're just gonna have to keep suffering inside your heart until you get there

Knowing that while you're sweating and sore and exhausted she doesn't have to work at all to move on from you, she's living a life of ease and comfort and hedonism, she's probably with someone else by now, and it doesn't even matter if this new guy is better or worse than you, all that matters is that it's not you anymore

That's what the worst part of lifting is.

Now for the sake of all of us here on /fit/, don't make another thread like this ever again.

You'll recover sooner than you think if you keep lifting. Just make sure you stay busy and focus on what's important.

And I'm going to be honest with you here, you are going to be alone for the rest of your life. Love is never going to happen for you again. This is not a bad thing, though you don't realize it yet. Just don't give in.

I really hope you're not going above the recommended doses, and you should go for a week without it. The days where you just don't feel like lifting but you do it anyway are pivotal.

The feeling of realizing how far to go you have left. Realizing that there are still years ahead of you before hitting your goal body. Happened to me today when I tried to do a one-arm pull up and failed miserably.

Thankfully it's usually followed by an endorphin rush after lifting and I just feel incredible.
>>
>>35292331
How is that a bad part of lifting? I use it as motivation to get even stronger, and whenever I meet someone stronger than me in a gym I always make friends with them, cause that shit is respectable, since it rarely ever happens.
>>
When you start losing motivation, and get depressed when you take time off from lifting.

I take it you don't compete at a high level in any strength sport, because when you lift with other amazing lifters you will be outclassed, and there would be no point in getting mad about it.

There is always someone stronger than you.

Also I personally like finding people not too far ahead of me, and working towards beating them, then move onto the next aftet I get stronger than them.

Imo it's a pretty good way of getting motivated without hating yourself lol

Realizing that your genetics will never allow you to look like your goal body, even if you are bigger, stronger and leaner than them.

Watching guys shaped like pears deadlifting 400+ and benching 300+ while seeing the guy doing his 1000th rep on of cable triceps looking more aesthetic... and then being told over and over and over on 4chan and youtube everyday that powerlifting training is the Word of God.

Knowing your totals are way more than Zyzz but you'll never ever look like Zyzz.

Knowing you'll never be Zyzz...

rest days and squatting for more than 3 reps, squatting makes me run out of breath so easy and you really don't get any 'rest' between reps much at all unlike when you deadlift or even with bench holding the tightness and form isn't that taxing

but i still look forward to squatting in a weird masochistic way
>>
>>35291422
Ebin get my fellow tipper!
>>
>>35293689
so maybe you should try 1000 reps on the cable triceps machine?

I dont really understand. Input - output. If you do a bodybuilding routine, you will look aesthetic. You do powerlifting or SS GOMAD permabulk you will look like a pear, but might be stronger.

For me, a body building routine, with SOME functional exercises mixed in works, because I get stronger, feel stronger, and look buff.

not hating on either of them btw, each to their own.

ffs i've been lifting for two years and it's been a full time commitment. during the first year i used to live like a fucking monk to maximize recovery, and ignored social occasions to not miss sleep. i got excellent recovery and good gains on SS but also became somewhat isolated. i was happy tho. now it's been two years already and the trade off is getting thinner. how do you guys balance it?
>>
>>35294221
I don't know about your life, you gotta examine these things on your own tbqh. I know food was a big issue for me mainly: I ate very little and I ate pretty much the same things. The result was that I was lethargic all the time, could not focus on studying for more than 30min-1 hour and ended up flunking out of university. To be fair I was very autistic with what I ate and obsessed with losing weight (former fatassfaggot also got insanely depressed). Many things contribute to being lethargic. Make sure you're eating balanced meals and your routine isn't complete shit. Don't obsess with food too much during school, leave dieting down for time that it doesn't matter how sharp you are.

Plenty of champion Olympic lifters, bodybuilders and powerlifters have rich lives outside of lifting.

If you want to isolate yourself, go for it, but don't trick yourself into thinking it'll make you a better lifter.

For me, starting the workout.

I have to wake up at sunrise and force myself to do it because there's nothing else to do at that hour.

The fact that lifting without eating will get you literally nothing

Then get out of the fucking bar and go to church you dingus. Be kind and charming to all the old people and enjoy them all throwing their granddaughters at you.

Trying to appease The Great Hunger after deadlift day.

The Endless Need. The Bottomless Beast. The monster that is not satisfied until you've eaten yourself into a coma.

Fucking leaving my house to drive 30 minutes to pick up my bro, and drive him to the gym.
Hell, driving to the gym to begin with.
I love it to death when I'm there, but before I go it's such a hassle to get up and go.

This desu. Sleeping and eating actually. It sucks that you have to be so dependent of these things, just like some fucking baby. You can't drink alcohol and party with your friends the whole night becosue that fucks up everything for a few days. Or you can't leave your home and go for random a trip without preparing meals and stuff before that.

Fucking hell
