How can you only squat 340lbs after 3 years of training? What have you been going all this time? I squatted 160kg (350lbs) after about 4 months of training and I'm 6'4.

thank you for the tip.

this is why im asking this question
>>
>>35287422

What's your training look like? I'm going to genuinely help you.

>boys butts?

active vs couch potatoes man.
Apart from that I highly doubt you had good form or depth.

>>35287316
try a lot of things
high- or lowbar
narrow or wide stance
low vs high reps
pause squats
speed works, fast vs slow

there are so many ways that can improve your squats but its too personal to make a valid call on what is holing back your progress.
>>
>>35287582

I did 3 months of jogging before that from a coach potatoe, hardly ''active''. It was perfect olympic depth, supervised by a coach in an olympic lifting gym.

legs day

squat (work up to max then do 5x5)
squat press 5x8-12
deadlift (work up to max then 3x5)
leg curl 4xfail

stairmaster dont judge
>>
>>35287627

I train in an olympic lifting gym, there's coaches there. What's outlandish about that?
>>
>>35287659

>legs day

There's your problem right there.

>squat (work up to max then do 5x5)
squat press 5x8-12
deadlift (work up to max then 3x5)
leg curl 4xfail

You seriously do all that in 1 day?

>>
>>35287700
yeah is that bad?
>>
>>35287826

What are your other lifts like? Need to know this before I can say anything, but I have something in mind.
>>
>>35287673
>>35287602
The main problem would be there's no such thing as "olympic depth" for the squat, mostly because there's no such thing as a squat in the olympics.
>>
>>35287875
squat press usually has around 400lbs put on it.
deadlift i work up to four plate, sometimes more.
>>
>>35287895

By olympic depth, I simply mean squatting as low as possible as that's advantageous for the clean and snatch bottom positions. Don't be jealous just because I made better progress than you.
>>
>>35287918

I mean the rest of your stuff mate, like the bench press, overhead press, etc. all your other barbell movements.
>>
>>35287483
not op but kind of similar "problems" also 6'6"

How often do you ohp/bp/squat/dl per week?
>>
>>35287937
bench= two rep max 315lbs
ohp= two rep max 195lbs
bb bench= 130lbs is the highest iv gone
>>
>>35287942

This is what my program currently looks like.

Monday (volume day)

Bench/OHP weekly rotation 5x5 (@90% of Intensity day).
Squat 5x5 (@85% of Intensity day).
SLD 3x5 (@60% of regular deadlift).

Wednesday (recovery and technique day)

Squat 2x5 (@80% of Volume day).
Bench/OHP weekly rotation 3x5 (@90% of Volume day).
Chins ups 2x5 – 12 (increase weight if more than 12 reps are completed)

Friday (Intensity day).

Bench/OHP 1x5
Squat 1x5
Deadlift 1x5

(Rotate Intensity day to 3x2, 2x3, and 5x1 when 1x5 stalls).

>>35287924
I'm not the one making shit up senpai.
>>
>>35287971

I think you're doing good, just need to increase your frequency for the squat and not do the ridiculous amount of volume for 1 bodypart on a single day.

You should change to an intermediate program that has squatting 2 - 3 times per week. Throw all the other accessories out, just stick with squats.

>>35287346
