I've used one before. It does nothing. It feels 'awkward' to move your wrist while it's spinning.. which I think is supposed to be the resistance but it really doesn't resist at all.

I have one. I used it to help rehab some tennis elbow I had.

I think it's mostly useful as a rehab tool. I have heard anecdotally that golfers and tennis players have used it to good effect.

What it strengthens is the muscles that rotate your wrist, not your grip.

I randomly messed around with one at a friend's house once. The next day we played some touch football and I was making some insane one handed catches in situations where I would normally just dropped the ball. I attributed it to the power ball.
