Powerlifters are steeped too deeply in their own little world of huge gear dosages and wonky min-maxed lifting form to have anything to say worth hearing to anybody who isn't also trying to be a powerlifter. Plus the idea in general that there are super secret mystic tips that only a personal meeting with a wise old lifter can bestow on you is just dumb as hell. Gym-given advice is called broscience for a reason; the stuff that's actually good to learn about all comes from reputable coaches, who almost always publish or lost it in a way that you can access right now if you would use your shitpost-box for a website other than 4chan.
