Those look like the bowflex adjustable dB's. If so, yes, they're quite expensive. I just ordered some relarively cheap adjuatable ones, $200 at 100lbs each db.

you can do everything with them that you can do with barbell and more.

excepting things that require a front or back rack positon.

so no heavy cleans, and no back/front squats.

other than that you can basically do everything else.

fits more weight on them than you will be able to lift, even on roids.
