Looks incredibly unhealthy. Anything involving swings and weights gets on my list of things to fuck up your joints. You are potentially putting more stress on your shoulders than they can take. If you can't perform an exercise slowly and controlled, it's probably bullshit.

I use kettlebells for Farmers Walks.
The handles are much thicker than dumbbells so it really hits the forearms are are perfect for grip strength.

All depends on what you are training for. If you train to get some muscle, I honestly wouldn't recommend doing cleans and snatches. It's just unnecessary risk and nothing that couldn't be substituted by other, more safe exercises.
