I like to super set chest and back. I still rest with however much time is left till 90 seconds have passed since my first lift of the two, then I start the second set.

This has pushed my workout into the 1 hour 40 min area. I know about the lifting for over an hour is bad myth, but is there any actual time limit beyond that, where diminishing returns occur regardless of working out a muscle group for the first time in that lifting session? As in if I finally isolate my side delts towards the last 10 min of a 2 hour workout, will it be far less likely to grow compared to if it was isolated in the first 10 min?

Just do the workout and don't worry about it. The one hour bullshit is fucking weak sauce. Me and every other big dude in the gym works out for an hour and a half to two hours.

Been lifting for ~1.7 years here.

I just work out for about 45 minutes. If I don't get all the exercises in, stay longer of course.

If I get them all in under 45 minutes, I end it early.

My diet plan is an absolute train wreck because I barely keep track of my diet. I just look at my protein. My gains have been very, VERY slow.

In fact my diet plan is so shitty, I stay at around 136lb(I'm 5'7). What happens is I lose fat, but gain muscles and the body weight stays the same. This has been happening very slow.

Still a manlet and I know a ~1.7 year is not a long time. Need a lot of improvements.

Mostly diet though.

Depends

Westside sessions usually last 30 min, some BB go 45 min some do 2 hrs. What ever works for you, you should feel tired and worked but not totally drained and exhausted by the end.

Diminishing returns is real, son. For best results, just do one set per muscle group per day. Truth.
