Yes it is. Especially if youre training strength, your muscle nervous system takes easily 3-5 days to recover.

once you get to heavy enough w8 your body will require you to rest for 2-4days
this depends on style of training and volume (ie people who do fullbody 3xweek can still recover because fullbody demands lower daily volume compared to let's say ppl or u/l type of splits)
