I don't think there's really a 'one size fits all' answer here, but start with assessing how many calories you're taking in each day, keep a food diary for week, then cut calories to something manageable in accordance to what you're looking for, weight loss might be 500 calories for example. Next, stop eating white flour. That means no white bread, cake cookies whatever. A cheat day is fine but don't to crazy. Stop eating processed sugar. Drinks with added sugar are the fucking sneakiest most delicious calories and they will hurt your progress. Drink lots of water, eat lots of fruit and veg to get nutrients in. The most important part is to enjoy it, don't make it a chore or you will fail. You need to become passionate about fitness. Train for strength, for confidence, but do it for you. Hope that helps a bit.
