With those stats, I'd say you have more strength gains to make and you should actually bulk for the rest of the winter, and then cut in the spring. Stop giving so much of a shit about what you look like in the mirror NOW so that you can actually look good later.
As for your question, SS is fine, but if you want size gains I'd suggest 5/3/1 with the Boring but Big accessory template. Basically you do Bench/Squat/OHP/Deadlift, but just one of those a day with an additional exercise for VOLUME and SIZE. Example would be
Day 1
Bench 3x5 heavy
OHP 5x10 at 50% weight

you are fine, just fat probably somewhere around 16-18%, cut some weight down and you'll see your abs, SS has nothing to do with you gaining fat though
