It may look like its a good time to show off since someone else started it, but don't. A lot of people fall into the trap of acknowledging how great they re indirectly when answering, which other people see as vain. NEVER say things like 'thanks'. Always brush it off, it shows the other person that you are humble and didn't do it just for the attention. Some example are

lol. are you in college? I went with bio and so i got to take a lot of nature type classes. One of the fieldtrips for my ento class was to a bee colony. I got to put on a suit, get a smoker thing, and harvest honey. It was cool as hell. Also got to collect bombardier beetles.
