It's definitely genetics but for me I feel deadlifts help more than any ab exercise.

I bet you got a really short waist like me.

When distance between hips and ribs is very short.

This means the space between the fat is less spread out if that makes sense, and will condense in the love handle and lower abdomen. Arnold Schwarzenegger had this kind of structure too.

It will look really good when your lean enough that everything is in, gives the illusion of wider shoulders too.

Longer torso looks leaner at the same bf% though, its a trade off.

I have them already, but I fucking keep plateauing when cutting.
Currently around 15% bodyfat, yet it's as if I'm not losing weight any more.

Eating 1200 calories a day and been on no-carbs for a month now.
