It doesn't do actual physical harm, but it has probably killed the motivation of thousands of newbie lifters and made them give up on lifting forever, just because it's a one-size-fits-all suggestion that doesn't actually work for what 90% of all new lifters actually want from lifting.

If we're talking physical harm, /fraud/ has probably caused a couple of people to roid without actually doing any research. You see them sometimes in here asking retarded questions, without an AI on hand and no PCT planned for their cycle, but they already have the test and they're ready to pin. Maybe someone on /fit/ has even died from being retarded with DNP and overdosing.

most people say to do fullbody and not to split, so idk if that is really much of a meme

But at the end of the day it really only suppresses micro-gains. You are burning fat as well and the body burns that off first before it's muscle. Fuck, I'm back to running 8-10 miles a week or some similar form of this exertion and feels good. Ultimately, do what works and responds for your body to get gains, period.
