>Start a new diet
>2500 calories a day
>Constantly getting hungry, struggle to make it to meals without snacking
Holy fuck how do you guys do this? I feel like my stomach is trying to eat itself all day long. The portions I can have on this diet are so small they're hardly satisfying at all
>>
Try intermittent fasting, i have 2 1.2k calorie meals a day and losing 1-1.5 pounds a week
>>
>>35222491
I'll give it a try, thanks. What times do you eat? Around 1pm and 7pm?
>>
>>35222493
I start from 12pm-2pm and finish from 6pm-8pm.
I alternate between 16-18 hour fasts depending on my schedules.
Work out fasted low reps high weight, and eat after. First 1-2 weeks will be rough as your body adjusts but after that I can go for 24 hours without food easily.

Yes, actually.
6'6", 136kg
>>
>>35222509
>Work out fasted
Is this a good idea? I thought you should always have some carbs before working out to give your muscles the energy they need otherwise you won't be able to perform as well.

>tfw 220 lbs 5'11.5 (with shoes on) manlet

that's like 90-100 kilos I think
>>
>>35222518
That's weird, because I weigh 230lbs and my average TDEE is over 3500.
Are you sure you calculated yours right?

2500 is very hard for me, but ephedrine, three salads a day, brown rice, chicken and fish help a lot.

>>
>>35222525
Dont quote me of this but there are many studies saying your body will start using up your glyogen stores ( held in your muscles and liver) before using fat as a fuel source. Eatimg carbs before your workout or constantly eating small portions prevents your body tapping into said glycogen stores. Again there is more in depth shit on IF on google/youtube
>>
You are a 27 year old male who is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 290 lbs while being Sedentary.
Based on your stats, the best estimate for your maintenance calories is 2,775 calories per day based on the Mifflin St-Jeor formula which is widely known to be the most accurate.
>>
>>35222567
I heard that too. A bit of light cardio will burn it off. But after that you need harder cardio. Protein burns when youre at rest, not when working in higher, oxygen-intensive work routines
>>
>doing low carb
Just do low fat. You can eat a lot of potatoes and steak.

i'm 5'7 weak as shit and my daily kcal amount to maintain is slightly above 2.5k. Either you are 4'3, losing all your muscle or just a fucking spookerton
>>
I'm on 1200 cals a day and work out 3 hours every day. OP stop being a faggot and eat smart. If I can do it so can you.

Who told you that? Sounds way off, son.

I eat less than that at 5'11 168lbs and I'm gaining muscle.
>>
>>35223082
2500 cals mean a single KFC Zinger combo takes up like a quarter of your daily quota
>>
>>35223041

5 ft 10 here, eating 1300 a day and feeling full. Just eat a salad with oven cooked meat for every meal desu, much more filling than whetever shit you must be eating.
>>
>>35223085
Scooby calc and some other random one i googled
>>
>>35223091

Holy shit how much do you weigh then?
>>
>>35223087
Yes, and? You think 4 meals of that size per day isn't an adequate amount of food?
>>
>>35223088
It doesn't matter if you feel full if your body needs to breakdown muscle tissue to get sufficient energy for the day

This calculator says my TDEE is about 2700 kcal/day when I enter

age: 28
weight: 77
height: 180
routine: 3-5 per week

How the fuck that nigger got 2775 with a sedentary lifestyle is beyond me.

No, I've been cutting for a long time, when I usually aim for 2850 calories (because this is the deepest deficit I can easily maintain, and even slipping up and hitting 3000 that's still -500ish). I used to be 240, but I'm aiming for 210 or maybe lower before I start seriously bulking.

3500 is maintenance when I'm being rigorous about exercise (I gained weight last end of the school year during finals because I ate the same but dropped my gym frequency).

My final TDEE calculation I get by going backwards from weight loss. I graph my weight and my calories consumed every day, and compare the average slopes. When I'm hitting the gym religiously and not losing weight, my calories per week is right around 24,000 on average (which is a daily consumption of almost 3500). I tend to mess up a lot, which is why it took me 6 months to lose ten pounds, and I've been plateaued for 4 weeks, but when I'm losing a pound a week consistently, my weekly consumption is also right around 20,000, which should be about right*.
This also matches fairly closely to my Katch-McArdle / Cunningham numbers, which I base on my lean body mass found from a professional caliper measurement. It was 31% at 240lbs, which means about 165.5 lean body mass.

>>35222559
This also implies that the multiplier for my exercise program (3 days a week lifting, 5 days a week a 20 minute walk?) counts as moderate intensity.

*(a pound of fat is actually 4000 calories. A lot of people say 3500. Scientists arrived at this number by literally taking a pound of human ADIPOSE TISSUE and putting it in a calorimeter. But adipose tissue has a lot of stuff in it that's not fat, connective tissue and stuff, and you don't burn any of it when you burn fat. Adipose tissue is the ware house, fat is the fuel in it. You don't burn down the warehouse to use the fuel.)

>This also implies that the multiplier for my exercise program (3 days a week lifting, 5 days a week a 20 minute walk?) counts as moderate intensity.

Whoops, sorry, I meant "heavy exercise", the 1.775 modifier.
Which seems weird to me. Maybe I just have a high metabolism?

>It doesn't matter if you feel full
When you can maintain a low cal diet and loose that weight that makes all the difference. obviously you've never struggled with weight.
>>
>>35223292
That weight loss is coming from your body ripping your muscles apart to feed itself.
>>

Hang in there brah. 6'1 here 120 -> 95kg cutting on 1800kcal a day. I found that staying low on carbs made much less prone to snacking.
