Complex carbs are your best bet but still be careful of eating too muh. Brown bread, brown rice, basmati, wholegrain. etc. are high in fibre, low insulin spike, and full of micronutrients. Scooby says to cut bread entirely but so long as you don't eat white bread you should be fine, typically if the carb is white don't touch it (potatoes, bread, rice, oats that've been processed for porridge, sugar)

If you want to start a low-carb diet, here is your shopping list:
- Meat
- Eggs
- Cheese
- Non-starchy vegetables (e.g. green = good, potatoes = bad)
- Nuts (e.g. Almonds. No peanuts.)
If it's not on this list, you can't have it, at least for the first month. After that, you can start SLOWLY adding in complex carbs that are NOT sugar.
Anything that's high in sugar that you already have in the house, e.g. candy, soda, etc. just go ahead and toss that shit in the trash. After you do this for a month, you won't want it any more anyway.
