I sleep on the floor, and I usually sleep face down sorta so no pillow really helps, I find a very small and not too thick pillow is good for being on your back, sort of at the base of your neck. Just my 2 cents though. Go for it and see if you like it op

that being said I use a small/thin pillow so I dont fuck my neck while i sleep.
I have slept without a pillow on my back for atleast 10 years. It takes a while to get ysed to but now i prefer nopillow.My neckpain went away but my posture was horrible still untill recently.
An added benefit is that i can sleep anywere. I sometimes sleep at work on the floor with just my hood as a pillow

my parents arent total retards so this is the only pillow type i have ever slept with.
i was fucking surprised people can sleep on those soft as fuck pillows.
