I think PPLPPLx is the best frequency for PPL. I train AxBxAxx, however I do full body, PxPxLxx doesn't workout full body but rather parts. You have two days to recover from your last sesion on that body part.
Try it and maybe change into some calisthenics in between. That is P1P2L1P2P1L2x where the 2 is calisthenics.

I do PPLPPLX. Tbh I skip the second leg day pretty much every time and do some cardio instead. But I think it's fine just eat and sleep enough and your good

Currently on PPL(volume)xPPL(heavy). I like it, a lot, and have noticed consistent strength gains, and others have remarked on me looking bigger (of course I don't notice that shit at all but whatever.

Push: Chest and tris
Pull: back and bi
Legs: Legs and shoulder

I've been thinking about switching up my days and doing something like:

P(heavy)P(volume)L(heavy)xP(volume)P(heavy)L(volume)

And changing it to Chest/Bi Back/Tri Legs/Shoulder or something. I feel like as I have it now I have too much crossover and one muscle group or another ends up getting less attention due to fatigue.

PPLPPLx is fine, if you gradually increase your volume you'll be fine

dont be scared of training like a bodybuilder, i wasted my first 1.5 years of training like /fit/ says and made way more gains once i started actually pushing myself

dont worry about recovery, youll know yourself if you can't recover from your workouts, at that point dial it back but its not likely youll really ever reach that point

I'm doing PPLxPPLx

Tried doing it with no rest at all first and went with abit more volume than most setups, since alot of people claim overtraining is a meme.

Almost lost my will to lift, started feeling ill and feverish. You need the rest, especially if you are adding some extra bromoves in there and/or is on a cut.

Would you say the same to someone doing PPLPPLx? Even on PPLPPLPPLPPL 72hrs is more than enough time to recover, even on a cut.

I literally do the same lifting routine bulking and cutting, just dialed back slightly on a cut, and I've never lost strength gains while cutting.

I honestly do PPLPPL until I feel like I need a day off, then I just take one and pick back up where I left off. Pretty sure I'm gonna run this until I die because it's convenient as fuck.
