Why have you never tried rack pulls? Why are you doing deadlift all the time? I find rack pulls far better.
>>
>>35133998
i do rack romanian deadlifts
checkmate
>>
I deadlift primarily for hamstrings and glutes, none of which are being hit on a rack pull. Rackpulls are a meme exercise that just do nothing besides tire out the skin on your hands.
>>
>>35134010
Haha that's nothing to do with deadlifts or rack pulls. Enjoy your DYEL body.

>>
>>35133998
Rack pulls are literally an assisted deadlift.

It's like standing on a ladder and dunking a basketball.

Rack pulls are good to bring up your grip strength but they are by no means a deadlift replacement.
>>
>>35134081
I do rack pulls for back, I don't want to work legs on my back day. Unless you've tried them, don't knock them. I made amazing progress with them.
>>
>>35134100
Do you have legs the next day or something?
>>
Rack pulls are cool and all, but I wouldn't even try to suggest that they're something like a replacement for deadlifts.

I mostly think of them as something powerlifters do to help get up their deadlift.
>>
>>35134081
>Rack pulls are literally an assisted deadlift.
No, they have a smaller range of motion allowing you to overload and handle more weight than normal, which assists pulling from the floor because 1) you're exposing your CNS to heavier weights and letting yourself become accustomed to them so the feel will be familiar when you pull it from the floor 2) it's strengthening your lockout, a sticking point for many people.
>It's like standing on a ladder and dunking a basketball.
No, it's like using reverse bands for squats, or a Slingshot for bench.
>they are by no means a deadlift replacement.
Yes, they can be. It depends on your goals.
>>
>>35134115
But with sealift you are working your legs and back, rack pull is just for back.

Why would I want to work legs and back in the same session??
>>
>>35134112
I do legs twice a week, no point doing them again on back day.

But the muscles you actually need to pull it from the floor arent being strengthened by a rack pull, so you are not in any better position just by knowing what it feels like.

Even if rack pulls are good for getting over plateaus, for coming back from injuries, etc, they should not be your primary lift as OP is suggesting.

Rack pulls are for people that just want to inflate there ego and don't want to actually be strong. I bet you faggots are the same people who quarter squat with 2pl8s and feel like you accomplished something.
>>
>>35134873
Haha. I don't wing it, I know what works for my body and decide when I'm there. I may get pumped up to go heavy all day, then just feel like going lighter when I get in. I go by feel. But then you know my body better than me.

>>
>>35134914
So let me get this straight: you know exactly the lifts, poundages and weights you'll be using days beforehand and hit them all EXACTLY everytime and never do one single thing different from that when you get in gym? Is that what you are saying?

Please think carefully before replying.

Enjoy your bendy bars. Pulling from blocks is better since the bar won't get slammed on the safety bars and it will lay "still" in the beginning of the pull.
