I fell for the "NO EXCUSES JUST DO IT" meme and my feet are in a lot of pain after running barefoot, I don't think this is healthy. do you guys have any recommendations?

Tbh, you should try floor exercises such as burpees, push throughs, and box jumps. It's just as much a workout as running, except you use way more of your body, familial relations.
Mizunos are relatively cheap compared to other running shoes. I wear hoka one ones but they are around $130

I've been shoeless for 3.5years now. Feels good, took a long time, but I can play all sports except indoor hardwood courts (BBall, Raquetball, Volley). No more injuries like I had when my foot was in a shoe like a Nike Runner. Nice pads on my hands and feet, Soft skin but jelly and hard underneath its weird but comfy
