Who /skinnyfat/ here? Being skinny fat is truly suffering.
Down from 240 to 155 (I'm 5'11" btw) and I thought I'd at least look acceptable by now, holy shit my lower back and hips are disgusting. Being small and fat is the worst but I refuse to bulk until I hit 10% body fat.

10% is a little over the top but if it's what you want bro. I started at like 28% and I'm just now starting to dip below 20% but it's taken me nearly three fucking months. Being skinnyfat is the literal worst, cutting never seems to end and I don't know if I'll ever be satisfied enough to bulk.

I know it's probably overkill but I want to see what my face looks like when I'm lean before I bulk. Recently I've started seeing cheekbones for the first time and it's lit a fire under my arse to shed the last 15 pounds or so of fat. Good job man, it's such a grind isn't it. From 240 to where I am now took about 2 years, it's like I can see the glorious bulk at the finish line ahead but the closer I get the steeper the slope becomes.

You should start swimming. Look you aren't going to get jacked doing it but if you swim 3-4 days a week for an hour and eat a surplus you will gain some muscle. By the time you get to 120 hopefully the problems you've been having will be gone. Give it a try dude.

My weight loss stalled a few months ago. I don't know whether to cut harder and try to push through it or put on some muscle
I went from 315 to 160 at 6'. I don't have love handles, but my gut still protrudes. My waist-hip-ratio is .97, which means I am technically obese, despite my BMI and waist circumference being good.
Eating 1.5k cal per day. Do cardio 4 days per week. Still have belly fat.

Some of it's just how I carry my fat. I don't have any love handles at all. I can see my obliques and from the back there is no pocket of fat on my lower back whatsoever. I've literally seen guys with good six packs on them who have much fatter love handles and lower backs than me. All the weight just goes to my gut area, like I'm pregnant.

I would recommend you cut down till you are skelly and then slowly bulk up. I did the opposite and don't think I got the results I wanted.
Used to be 130lbs lean as fuck at 5'10. Now bulked to like 138lbs at 11% body fat and I hate not being as lean as before. I guess if I had the muscle mass PLUS being 11% I'd look alright though so that's keeping me going. Anyway here's a recent pic

Also I carry nearly all of my additional fat in the hips/belly abs. I know the pain you all went through but running got me away from that. Honestly the whole "you don't have to be autistic about calories in calories out if your not pro/natty etc" is kinda true but if you store a vast majority of your body fat in the belly. And by this I mean if you have say visible arm veins, neck, lean legs and calves back but not belly then this applies, then I'd say HIIT running , loads of fucking greens and fibre and eating a steady 300calorie deficit. Take about 10 days to lose one pound but if you lift and eat enough protein you'll maintain and even build strength potentially. Pic is me again

Use to be skinny fat in highschool but I became fat over the past two years and im now back to being skinny fat again. /fit/ keeps telling me I should bulk but I am stubborn like op and want to get to th 10-12% bf range before I start to bulk.
So far my lifts are
ohp- 90lbs
Bench- 135lbs
Squat- 205 lbs
Deadlift- 195lbs
I've been cutting for a fucking long time now and I'm fucking sick of it, I've lost about 20 kilos and I feel weak and pathetic , I don't even care about getting abs now, I just want to fucking eat and get strong.

fuck everyone and fuck cutting, I'm going to eat at maintenance for a while untill the damage I have done to my body repairs it's self, constant aching in my back and other joints, constantly feeling weak and frail like a small breeze could end me constantly hungry and Pissed off.
The time has come to eat at maintenance and give my body some well needed fuel for the punishment I have put it through.
