you improve in strength by training each lift 1x per week, but 2x is just way better
and problem is it's not for beginners who have shit stats

doing chest will fatigue your triceps and doing back will fatigue your biceps

youll be working with "used" muscles on the next day. i see quite a few programs working opposing muscles (chest/back) on a day instead of the muscles that work together.

i usually do
chest and tricep
back and bicep
legs and shoulder

that way my back and biceps are fresh. the difference between the two splits are probably indistinguishable though.

DYEL's are literally working the same muscle group to failure three times a week and getting good results. Explain this.

inb4 they're only pushups. When DYEL's go to the gym and bench they're actually doing less weight at first than a pushup.

Not only that but eventually they do 50 pushups. That's FIFTY REPS of that weight, and it produces good results. What happened to anything over 12 reps doesn't do anything?

TLDR: The more reps you do in a week the better results you get as long as you're not doing the same thing consecutively every day.

lats and traps act as a stabilizer (think of them as a shelf) on most pushing exercises (bench, incline, ohp)

if you don't believe me:
test your ohp 5rm
do a full lat day (some medium, medium-high volume bb style)
try ohp next day, use same weight as your 5rm
you'll be lucky if you manage 3 reps (even with fresh front delts/triceps)

Yeah I keep forgetting this sort of thing. I'll bring a stabilizing muscle to failure one day, go back to lifting whatever the next, and feel depressed I actually went down in weight or can't do as many reps. Then I have to remember, oh yeah, I did x yesterday.
