How to egg boil.
Step one. Take eggs out put them in lukewarm water for 15-20.
Step two. After eggs are in the bath. Start to boil water.
Step tree. Once water is rolling, turn it down to MED heat and place eggs in water gently. Not two many eggs. One layer.
Step four.after 11 minutes remove eggs and place them in cold water to stop the cooking.
Step five. Peel eggs and remove yolk, rinse out inner part of egg. The yolk gets nasty after a few days of sitting in my experience.
Step six, put the peeled eggs in a container with paper towel on the bottom and top so they don't get soggy and shit.
Step 7 putem in the fridge and clean ups.

I used to not have this problem but now I think I'm getting sick of chicken, can't fucking stand the taste of it. Or the lack of taste.
The last time I made chicken that didn't taste like death there was a ton of heavy cream involved so it doesn't count

Have any of you guys ever experienced "tunnel vision" and some serious fight or flight bits while working out?

I experienced it today for the first time, like the onset of a panic attack sort of, and I had to sit down between sets/reps to finish my workout instead of just pacing back and forth like usual. I guess I can relate it to a panic attack. Like I wasn't physically exhausted, but I was just "smoked" for lack of a better term. It only started when I hit the end of my workout.

Any idea how to stop it dead in it's tracks or whatever? This is the only time this has happened, and fuck I wasn't even doing a ridiculous workout, but holy Jesus. Not something I want to experience again.

Could it have been my diet? About 1 hour prior, my breakfast was 2 bananas, and a plain uncooked bagel with nothing on it and 2 water bottles.

Essentially what and when is a good pre-workout meal? I went out and bought some turkey breasts, some oatmeal, and a fuck ton of orange juice.

I don't lurk here too often, so I don't know if its been said. Best tip I can think of, go hunt a deer. 80lbs of literally some of the highest quality meat for literally $21 - maybe $200 depending on what you can borrow or have for hunting gear.

I know everyones situation isn't ideal, but I bought a bow for $100 bucks on craigslist a few years ago, and tracked down somebody to bring me hunting. Imight be broke, but my freezer is stocked and have seen noticeable gains since filling up on venison everyday

Works great with rice, and reheats really well.

Depends if you hunt omnivores actually. But it doesn't matter because most hunters are more careful than the average moron. I send my meat in for testing and everybody learns how to spot diseased organs in an animal, a luxury that the average meat eater does not have.

I cook most of my weeks meals every sunday. Typically around 3 per day, two of which are the same. Pic related.
I had issues with eating the same thing over and over again, but I have found that if you cook something delicious and experiment with different flavors then it usually isn't a problem. Chicken is fucking expensive in Canada so I usually only have one serving a day and have to use turkey or beef for the rest of my protein intake. (besides whey etc.)

This stuff looks good but are you supposed to freeze it or just refrigerate them? Then do you use the oven or microwave to heat them up?
>>
>>35088719
Most stuff can keep about 5 days. I usuaally just refrigerate 2 days worth (6 meals), but freeze the rest. I take em out a day in advance to thaw.
I tend to undercook a lot of veggies during the prep phase so that they don't turn mushy when you microwave them.

I also make overnight oats before I go to bed because I hate having to be productive in the morning. 3/4 cups oats, 1 cup of milk, some peanut butter and honey and my morning is easy.

How to cook a chicken breast perfectly in under 30 minutes:
>Pound chicken breast out until it's of roughly even thickness with the bottom of a glass cup or some equally hard object
>Season it on both sides (I recommend Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper)
>Get a pot/pan that you have a cover to
>Put some olive oil in it and heat it up until you hear the oil crack
>Turn whatever the heat was down to medium
>Put the chicken in flat
>Sear it for a minute and then flip it
>Put the cover on and reduce the heat to medium-low
>After 10 minutes, turn the heat off
>Let it cook covered for 10 minutes with the heat off
>Enjoy your perfectly cooked, juicy chicken breast
Under no circumstances do you uncover the lid during this cooking process - if you do that, you will ruin the chicken.

are you even aware of how much sugar that is per bar. so many homemade bar recipes dont seem to give a fuck about sugar content. you might hit your macros, but this will feed inflammation, make you age faster, make you more likely to develop heart issues because of karies, etc. sugar may not be a gains goblin, but it will make your journey through life that much shorter.

Don't normally post but...
Why can you lot not cook?
Pan fry your chicken so it is white on the outside, as it gets done add garlic and turn to half heat.
When garlic is cooked (1-2mins) add a tin of chopped tomatoes and stir.
Put into the sauce some oregano and basil.
Cook until chicken is done, and then reduce sauce to thick consistency, use to flavor rice as well.
a whole extra 20 kcal from tomato.
>>
Question for meal prep people: how long does your stuff stay fresh? I always make my cold veggie dishes fresh because I'm afraid it might not taste nice after one day. Warm veggies and meat can go for a day or two in my opinion.

>>35082434
Can't you just grill it? My bf and I often forget to put spices on our chicken filet and most of the time don't even notice it untill halfway. I actually like the taste of pure chicken and sometimes ask him not to spice mine.
Do we just have super taste buds or are most people's just dead from always overspicing? On the other hand, we can't stand spicy stuff.
>>
>>35099080
>how long does your stuff stay fresh?
Depends on how you store it. Cold and dry will make things stay fresh longer. If you have high humidity in your fridge or cabinets things go bad very very quickly.
If you freeze leftovers they last 'forever'.

>Add finely chopped leeks and mushrooms.
>Squeeze a lemon over it and add some salt. >Spices of choice. I recommend safran but it's expensive. Fine without any spices really.

How do you keep your nuts/cashews/peanuts etc? I'm afraid of buying them in bulk because I've heard they spoil quite easily when left in the open.

Also strong food game bro.

sweet!
I'm planning on making it the Marocan way with some olive oil and cilantro. Also got some Marocan spices for my chicken.
I don't really like garlic since I keep tasting it the entire evening and sometimes untill morning.

Vacuum packing (repacking if you want) is the only thing that works. Unless they are still in shells. They go rancid quickly when exposed to air.

Yeah, will think about it after buying my own house the current kitchen is pretty tight as it is so I'm noting to buy another accessory (to add to the toaster, electric oven, guillotine, blender...)

Some speciality shops have vacuum sealers. Try asking around and see if you can borrow theirs for free or for some pocket change. My local health shop has one, and my ex-gf did it all the time.
