What's the strangest way you've gotten a max? I broke my pr on bench while listening to Own It by Drake once.

there was 185lb loaded bar somebody left in squat rack

something clicked in my head and i just walked to it and ohp'd it
no prior warmup, no mobility work whatsoever, cold as a motherfucker (and i'm usually extremely autistic about mobility and warmups due to my previous shoulder injury)

it was the slowest fucking lift of my life
bar stood for legit 5 seconds just a bit above my forhead untill i could lock it out properly

I used to only deadlift if there was a qt working out within view so I could stare at her while going up for them test gains.

I've realized watching an episode of hajime no ippo or even ping pong before the gym helps to break prs

After that I was super pissed about the weight that's normally easy hardly going up but then I realized I added it wrong because of the 55s. After that I got 445 for a 5 lb pr.
