I am trying to lose ~30 pounds (currently 170 lbs 5'6") and it's hard to get ~140g of protein from food. I'm doing the program in the sticky and read about the TrueNutrition powders but I am scared that I will only gain more weight. Is it safe to consume? Also, what kind of protein powders should I avoid gaining weight?
avoid at all costs, unfit for human consumption

its not hard at all
eat tuna,sardines,eggs,chicken,bacon
Buy casein protein. Whey and casein are the two types of protein found in milk.
Whey is very fast absorbing, and popular for a post-workout shake because it get nutrients into your system fast.
Casein is very slow absorbing. It forms a gel once it hits your stomach acid, and can take up to 8 hours to digest, keeping you fuller, longer.

Casein gives me acne and major ezcema flare ups.
Dude shakes in general are terrible for weight loss because they provide very little satiety.
Just eat chicken breasts like everyone else. Impossible to overeat those.

dont use supplements for weight loss. dont drink any of your food, you want to feel as full as possible. liquid calories are not the way

there's studies that show on average it results in more weight loss & increased satiety, but I supposed its pretty subjective. What I've heard & found true for myself is I get maximized satiety by combining healthy fats, slow digesting carbs & lean proteins into a meal... the protein can come from any source, such as whey, but should be combined with carbs/fats to feel fullest.

>but I am scared that I will only gain more weight.
If you don't know if you will gain or lose weight, then count calories.
>Also, what kind of protein powders should I avoid gaining weight
Don't get anything with added carbs, get as pure of protein as possible.
