As this guy, 5'9 149lbs. I had surgery 2 months ago and ill be ready to start lifting again soon but im incredibly week. I have quite the gut now too unfortunately and it's making me insecure. Looking at these pictures do you guys think I should cut or bulk? I still can't lift yet heavily because i have 3 tendinitis's in my shoulder and a tendinosis in my knee but im getting better hopefully. Just need advice on what I should do. Was thinking about cutting but I dont wana lose the remaining small amount of muscle I have left lol
Fix posture. Looks like you have a crazy sway back which brings out your gut more. Just lift what you can, eat and do cardio. If you're already weak definitely don't try and lose weight.

a lot of fixing posture is just practicing. There are lots of postural videos you can find on youtube, but actually adjusting your posture is something you need to constantly think about until its second nature. Best tip I've gotten: flexing your glutes is going to force you into a good neutral position.

You don't have visible muscle to begin with, if you cut right now you're just going to lose even more muscle and become skinny. Right now you should be focusing on eating more and gaining more mass.
