Even when I was a skelly at 170 I was pulling 365 as my max. Why do normies have such shit standards?
>>

It's all about that CNS brah.

Like what? Going to bars with friends?

Awesome life.
>>

365 is damn impressive if you were starting out
>>

What are you talking about?

I dont know, one of my friends had 150 pounds as his all time goal on bench for 1 rep. Shaking my head

>Be on RFL cut (literally only eat 800 cals of protein + fibre a day)
>Go easy on squats and do 130 kg x5
>Friend walks past.
>Literally doesn't believe it's possible
>Next day at work tells everyone as if I've just squatted 200kg or some shit.
I suppose feels good as an ego boost but man the standards are so low.
>>
ive never really deadlifted more than 10 times or more than 135 lol

225 max bench tho at 6'2" and 170 lbs

180 but I do the PRESS after bench so that's not my true max. On hypertrophy days I'll play around with 1 pl8 since it feels so light. I hit 20 reps

This. If you work a normal job you cannot hit the gym so often.

>>
>>35064503
I spend more time at uni than you do at your job, still manage to lift. If you had a family to take care of on top of it, yeah that would be hard, but just a job? Stop being a lazy shit
>>
>>35064468
13" forearms are literally huge
>>
>>35064503
If can't get to the gym working a 38 hour a week job, you're an excuse making loser.
>>
>>35064513
>I spend more time at uni
Sorry student but that what I thought before work. Trust me, you will not work exactly 40 hours for example. It will take longer, meeting, urgent reports etc. Depends where you life you travel home, maybe buy food, eat take a shower and sleep to wake up early next morning.
It is different from university trust me.
>>
>>35064526
Depends of the type of job and your overall traveling time door to door. It also depends what is more important in your life, job or gym.
Gym don't pay the rent.
>>
>>35064546
My day starts at 7-8 and ends at 20-22 daily with the exception of sat, when I just do cleaning/washing/gym/rest until afternoon/evening where I try to get a few hours of study in.

The only reason i can kinda understand is if you have kids. But i remember my dad bought a barbell and had me and my brother watch and sometimes he would ask us to climb up and be used as weights. No excuses.
It takes 1 hour max 3 times a week, i bet you're a fat shit who spends at least 2-3 hours a day in front of the computer or TV but still complain about not having any time, kek.
Construction engineer working as an assistant project manager btw, and i have time for working out, a gf and some other hobbies.
>>
>>35064572
If your dad still finds time to work out great. But just by chance: If he is waking up at 6 (5 would be more reasonable) he than has a 7-22 hour working day (like 15 hours). If he is than at home you will tell me he will go the gym ? Nothign to do in the house ? No need to eat ?
>>
>>35064594
Keep calm assistant. It takes not 1 hour, you have to travel to the gym and come back after work and than still have time to eat/clean/household etc.
Don't try to extrapolate from your situation. Many have acutally longer times just to arrive at work/the gym.
>>
>>35064608
>my dad
uwotm8

Should've clarified, days I start at 7 is when I go to the gym (lectures at 9 so get enough time to get through it before). Obviously eating lunch/dinner is in those hours too

>>
>>35064608
Yeah, if you're working 22 hours a day you need to get another job that isn't mining coal in Sierra Leone. Or do what i do, work out during lunch. Get a barbell and do 30 min of squats, bench and OHP before bed every night, jesus you could do a quick workout while you're waiting for the water to start boiling. Or get a slow cooker so you always have food ready when you get home.
But im pretty sure you already decided you're never gonna make it, you'll just keep finding excuses.
>>
>>35064623
Ok. My day starts at 5. 1 hour to prepare and than drive 1:30 . Start at 7:30 work till 18:30 normally.
Arrive at home at 20:00. My next Gym is something like 30 Minuten driving again.
You can caluclate that the time is running pretty low because at 20:00 I did not eat anything yet/groceries/stuff.

All is different if you have short traveling times and somebody who takes care of your household. Otherwise...
>>
>>35064657
>Or do what i do, work out during lunch
What fucking kind of job do you have ? I have lunch-meeting with my superiors and will not workout in formal dress you idiot.
For the second: If this works for you: fine. I can't sleep after a workout for one-two hours.
>>
>>35064663
Your travelling times are awful. That's where I manage to get my lifting in, and I feel I'm very much at capacity at the moment. Seems you'd have to sacrifice sleep and that'll fuck with gains as much as work. I take everything back
>>
>>35064676
Yeah wtf kind of job do you have? here in Europe you're required by law to have breaks, and if you have a lunch meeting you're allowed to use that time for a break later during the day. Have you tried bringing workout clothes? don't you have a changing room?
Find a better job then if your's that bad. Fucking hell i didn't bust my balls in engineering school for 6 years to be keked by some suits, guess that's what happens when you get a degree in stuff other than stem.
>>
>>35064691
Thanks. Rents are high in my city, 1 hours travel time is normal. But I admitt, 1.30 is too much even without any gym.
Sadly the sleeping stuff is limiting. If I sacrifice this for the workout I get a problem at work.
>>
>>35064338
Is it strict or do you push for a few? I didn't read if someone asked this already.
>>
>>35064719
Problem is often what is official written down and what they actual carried out. I have lunch break but this is spend usually with my superiors (which I can not avoid for social reasons).
During work it really is not possible, they all wear formal suits (which by the way require a fuckload of effort to clean again).
By the way I work in the chemical industry and I do have a PhD. Problem is always: If you really want to do the work which is offical allowed you be gone soon.
>>
>>35064719
>you're required by law to have breaks
Come on you know how this is handled. You always work longer than your contract states. If you insist on your "breaks" you will have soon a very long break.
>>
>>35064653
Not those anons, but do you seriously think having friends and spending time with them is boring? I mean just wow
>>
>>35064212
what is your recipe for getting the wings
>>
>>35064663
All I hear from you is excuses instead of getting shit done. Meal prepping for an entire week could take you max 3-4 hours during the weekend, getting up early to go to the gym or like other people have said going to the gym during lunch are also options. Also, another note for meals and shit, what is protein powder and granola bars, they make a great meal substitute to tide you over till you're done working out and can eat some real grub.

Tl;dr you're a lazy cunt who doesn't realize that you have time for what you make time for, which is part of being an adult. Quit making excuses about "muh workweek" and figure it out or stop shit posting about how you don't have time, pussy.

No? is that how america work? Hurray for capitalism and the free market! Theres a reason Scandinavia has the happiest population, its because you don't get (as) bumfucked by your bosses. Whenever i work more than stated i write it down and i get paid OT. If i want to leave early i leave early, this won't work if you can be replaced by any monkey out there.
>>
>>35064802
I give you a point for the meals even though standards are differents if you want to eat a whole week the same shit. But ok.
But like I said, I have 45 lunch break with my superiors. And dude, i wake up at 5 do you know any gym which is open at this point ? When should I go ? Maybe 3 ? Go fuck your self.
>>
>>35064830
Not America. I work in europe. Don't extrapolate the standards from your every day working life to the rest. Nice that it is working for you but this is not necessary standard.
And trust me: Everybody can be replaced I have seen this often enough. Lost an internal fight, changes in the managment, external crisis. Don't take your job for granted there is always competition.
>>
>>35064107
At that height and weight that's impressive but you need to gain weight man
>>
>>35064663
Why do you work 11 hours a day?
Why are you 90 min away from your working place?

If you work 11 hours a day, why don't you move closers as you should be doing good money.

If you are doing good money, why don't you buy a home gym?

So many things you could do about your situation, I don't get it.

Typically 100kg is 225 pounds.
But yeah he's weak.
I'm 187 pounds and deadlifting 465, which really isn't a whole lot.
>>
>>35064480
I work 8h30 to 4h30 five days a week and I still hit the gym five or six days a week without much difficulty. I'm not extremely social but I usually do something social once or twice a week on top of that.

>this is what europoors actually believe

100kg x (2.2 lbs/kg) = 220 lbs

Daily reminder that 2pl8, etc in America is HEAVIER than 2pl8 in euroland

Daily reminder to ALWAYS question someone when they give their lifts in pl8s as they are probably estatting with their 44 pound European plates and 44 pound weak babby bar
