22-yo formerly alcoholic here. You should just cut alcohol. There are many more things it effects than your weight/muscle mass (and mental health) alone. For example, one of the worst things for me was that it gave me trouble urinating (urgency, frequency, having to but not being able to, sometimes pain)

Alcohol is calories. Poisonous calories. I just add them into my daily calorie count and act as if they're food, but I don't drink more than once or twice a week. Haven't had any significant changes in my body comp that I can tell

But I'm also on a permacut so I don't know much about it affecting muscle strength
