you don't just "lose your strength" fatass. your body burns fat before it cannibalizes muscle, you'd need to be extremely lean before you have to start to worry about really losing muscle mass. what you will experience on a cut though is reduced energy available to your muscles due to limited caloric intake. that's just plain math. lift what you can with the energy you have available to make slow gains, but focus on your diet to lose the weight.

I measure my squats in kg, but a 180 kg squat for a 75 kg person is far more advanced than a 180 kg squat for a 120 kg person. 180 kg squat at 120 kg is intermediate and therefore smolov isn't warranted, but if you're squatting 180 and you weigh 75 kg that's an advanced lift and you'd probably benefit from smolov. This entire explanation can be circumvented if you use xBW notation. Hence the use of xBW notation.

Basically my family had owned this roller disco for about 20 years, real nice place, friendly and not pretentious.

My targets family decided (because papa got cuucked) that they were going to take it away from us. BMI isn't great for active people, but I know some guys who're around the same bodyweight (although they're also taller). To merely be kinda fat, rather than a sloppy mess like OP, you need to be damn strong and generally on a fair amount of gear. 600+ squats and pulls, 700+ if you're shorter.
