Recovering fatso here. Good for you to start the /fit/ journey. Never been your size though.
If the weight is hard on your joints I recommend swimming as a start. you can gain muscle and burn calories without killing joints and tendons.

You can do SS if you want. Just don't do GOMAD unless you're retarded enough to think drinking a fucking gallon isn't going to make you fatter and look like shit even if (and that's a big if) you manage to gain some muscle.
If you are so fucking lazy you cannot read the sticky, do a 500cal deficit (or just search up Scooby's calculator and use the value you'll get there). Download the MyFitnessPal app to help you count. Also eat clean, or at least try to fit you macros as well. No need to be too religious about it though.

It's not too late man.
You should aim for a slow weight loss, like over 2 years.

Diet obviously needs to be fixed, and it won't be easy, just like someone that decides to stop smoking, you're gonna get cravings.

Just like quitting any addiction, you need to take it one day at a time and focus on the positive positive side-effects you will experience (looking better, more stamina, more agility, etc...)

PS: if it's processed food, it's bad for you. Water is the only thing you should drink. I would also recommend you to join a gym and focus on weightlifting instead of cardio for now.

As a former fatass, I can tell you it will be the best decision you will ever make in your life. You simply need to stay consistant and make it a lifestyle

Youve made a good decision to get fit. Unfortunately I've just made that decision for the third time. First two times I got down to around 220-230, and ended up back where I started.

It's hard work, but you will feel better, and it will be worth it.

Alright. So I used to be a tub of fat as well. Biggest was 350 lbs at 6'3". I took the extreme root after I had some soul searching and decided I was done being a fat cunt. I went on 100 kcal per day for 45 days straight. Pretty much one scoop of the big P per day. (DON'T DO THIS!!!!) Lost 65 lbs in 45 days. Then since my stomach was so fucking small, it was impossible to shovel the ammount of liquid shit into my mouth that I had been previously eating. I lost 50 more lbs just doing nothing. Then I started the original P90 and dropped the rest of the weight over a few months. I lost 150 lbs in a year. It was easy for me to do, but people have said that I was really stupid for doing it that way. And I was. Do it the right way, by counting calories and busting your fat disgusting ass. Don't give up Jabba. You can do it. We believe in you.

someone that was overweight only for 1-3years has way better chances of not having a lot of excess skin compared to someone who has been at that weight for 10years or so. Assuming they drop the same amount of weight.

Every fat fuck gets a sudden burst of motivation at one point. The vast majority go back to shoveling shit down their throats after losing a few pounds. The odds of you going down to an acceptable weight let alone becoming fuckable are slim. Either way I'm rooting for you. Just don't take that as some kind of congratulations for realizing you're fat. It's a hard truth but remember that you haven't done shit until you've reached your goal

What is currently helping me the most is using a kitchen scale to weight every single thing I eat. Been eating mostly chicken breast with a whole spaghetti (or something like that, I don't know how it's called, but it's full of fiber and very low in calories compared to common kind). Between the fiber and water, it's not even being that hard to stay at low calory intakes.

Oh yeah, and water. I was a weird kind of fat in that I hated sugar, mostly. Pretty much all of my sugar intake was sodas, which I have cut completely now. At first I was trying to restrict sodas to sundays, but I started noticing that 1) it's not even that good, 2) drinking it makes me immediately hungry as fuck even if I just ate a lot and 3) it took multiple days for the hunger to go away after drinking it.

Sugar is poison, drink pure water and nothing else. You can also use popcorns (with little or no oil) to kill your hunger if you absolutely can't hold back any longer. It's not ideal, but if you're up against either 30g of popcorns or a lot of food, popcorn is better.
