Do you mean 1pl8 as in 20kg(44lbs)? I do 25kg for reps. I have never tried 1rm nor am I planning to. It feels kinda pointless

the force needed to keep the plates steady and avoid slipping takes my mind off the sheer strain my pecs and triceps experience

I can only do 12 reps, for 3 sets, trying to get up to 15 reps before end of year

I stick a 30lb dumbell between my legs and rep out 3 sets of 12. I don't know if that's good or bad but I could prolly go higher.

I also use the 30 for wide grip dead hang pull ups, which I can do 8 of with solid form. The weight helps keep me from kipping. I don't think I've ever seen anyone else do weighted pull ups in my gym... but that's NH for ya. Whole state is dyel as fuck.

I use heavy chains for dips. Right now I hang two 23 pound sets around my neck, so I guess around 20kg. I think I'll have to switch to plates soon though because the chains are a little bit cumbersome at this point, and I feel comfortable doing my normal 5 sets of 8 at this weight.
