are those 5 finger shoes a meme or legit improvement for front strike running?
i made the switch from heel to frontstrike and it really helped ALOT against shin splints etc.
now i wanna upgrade with shoes who dont have a fucking cushioned heel.
problem is i have a flat foot and used arch support wich i wanna slowly get rid of.

Some people who use frontstrike running prefer them, it all comes down to your own preference. If your concerned about arch support get a pair of new balance minimus'. The sole is firm and made by vibram, they have a small amount of arch support, cost about the same, and have the added benefit of not making you look a complete fucking tool.

I prefer merrell's barefoot shoes. There's plenty of room for your toes to splay and they don't look as goofy/gimmicky as 5 fingers.

Back when I used to run I got shin splits to the point where I couldn't put weight on my legs. When I got those I stopped getting them. They look retarded but they do work. Just don't jump into them and run ten miles you have to build up a tolerance with them
