Rugby isn't even that violent. Without and pads they are afraid to hit and the way the game plays out people are very tired from constant running and it's mostly shitty leg tackles.

Never understood "that" wrestling. I get that the occasional blood can make a match more intense. But when it's your goal to spill as much blood as possible or to see who can do the most stupidest thing than it just gets boring and turns to BDSM.

I think Rugby is the most overall demanding for everyone on the field. The combination of quickness, endurance and strength you have to use, plus the presence of mind to keep up with fast-paced plays and tackles while winded is without peer. the main drawback for me was the Commonwealth lad-culture that everyone attaches to rugby. It just felt try-hard, as an American.
My personal favorites are grappling of all kinds, but rugby is tougher.

Obviously combat sports, but when you exclude those I'd say rugby and water polo. The latter especially is often overlooked and people underestimate how tough it actually is.

i know many young lads who failed in school who turned out to be failures and joined the army because of that. i've only known intelligent, alpha people who have joined up out of a sense of adventure and challenge and have personally and emotionally flourished from it.

if you mean that it's dangerous and that you fight for the interests of others, and if that is a big problem for you, then yes it's a fucking stupid idea.
but the pay is good (since no rent or food or anything is needed to be payed by you), you can get a degree funded by them these days and you get to spend all day driving around shooting top pieces of modern weaponry if that's your thing. or if you love planes you can fly planes, if you love boats you can sail all day etc.
it just depends what you like and what you are willing to do for money. i'd rather join the military than work in an office, i'll tell you that.
Competitive water polo. It has the violent aggression of land sports with the potential to drown if you get too fucked up. What's not to love?
