I'm arguing with someone who actually thinks a skinny person with a sedentary lifestyle is more unhealthy than a fatass who "exercises".

Please tell me they are retarded. My logic is that if a fat person really did exercise he should stop being a fatass unless he consumed vast quantities of unhealthy food.

Exercising while obese puts you at greater risk for joint damage, heart attacks, strokes, injuries, etc. All of the things that you're already at an increased risk for just become more prevalent.

they are both unhealthy in different ways and there is no automatic scale saying how unhealthy something, we just use science to get an idea of how bad it is for you

Malnutrition plays a bigger role than body fat. Fat people are prone to health risks because of malnutrition. A skinny person can suffer from it as well. Working out doesn't make you more healthy. Having a good diet will. I know 350lb guys at the gym that have a single thing wrong with them. They eat right, they just can't into portion control. And I know skinny DYEL kids with diabetes because all they eat is shit.

depends on the BMI a person with 32 BMI could sincerely be trying their hardest, have lower blood sugar levels, have better vitals, and better stamina. a skinny neet DYEL is probably gonna die. there really are genetics that go into play here. that being said, genetics dont give somone a BMI of anything over 35
