Yes it's a waste of money. I laugh at how serious people take whey and creatine on here since it's their first year lifting. I guarantee after 5 years you'll be sick of powders. Creatine is the worst waste of money along with every supplement for that matter. Gains are about liftan heavy and eating not powder. You'll learn one day guys. Supplements will never make up for an improper diet.

It's only "needed" or necessary if you aren't getting enough protein in your diet. It doesn't help your gains by having it. I personally get over 200g a day in protein and have never needed protein shakes. Chicken breast and fish is all I eat, with a side of green veggies.
