My routine is a bro split. My diet is dog shit. IIFYM taken to a whole new level pretty much. Only worried about calories.


I do A LOT of cardio though. My runs burn around 300-600 calories and so my swims. Running pace is 7:30/mile for four miles but I also do different runs. Sprints, fartleks and cruise runs.

My cardio is very intense. I do different things depending on the day. I don't think I burn 600 from any swim though. I usually only burn 600 whenever I run 4 miles at a 7-7:30 pace.

Not sure if right thread but..

July - 292 lbs
Nov - 250 lbs

Didn't take any pictures when I started, the first is the most recent and was just being gym scum. Been on a strict keto diet. Carbs are limited to 20g a day.

10m of cardio on lifting days, then SL. Hour of interval running on the days in between. 1 rest day.

Squat - 165 lbs
Bench - 115 lbs
Deadlift - 205 lbs
OHP - 80 lbs
Barbell Row - 125 lbs

I've stalled out during the last 30 days, despite all my lifts going up. Any advice?

I tend to vary up the meals so it revolves around chicken, fish and steak. Sides are always vegetables. Asparagus, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, onions.

Ground beef here and there that I roll into chopped onions and jalapenos. Low amounts of cheese, no bacon.

Usually eggs and turkey sausage for breakfast. Snack tends to be almonds if I need something to eat.

I cap my sodium intake at 2300 mg a day, protein averages at 143 g, Fats at 74 g. No soda, milk, etc. just water.

Oh, I take an Optimen multi-vitamin 3x a day as well. Xtend BCAAs for a pre-workout and GNC Wheybolic for after on lifting days. 2 scoops.

That sounds good.

If your lifts are stalling, you could try upping the protein intake a bit, but I wouldn't worry about that if I were you. Your primary goal has to be to burn that fat, and you're doing a good job at that. Just keep at it and lifts will follow eventually.

I run an app that automatically recalculates whatever I lose or regain. I've never been perfectly at or over my daily calories, I'm actually way under most days once all the calculations are done.

Me at 6'4 and 392lbs and me now at 6'4 200lbs. Lowest I've ever been was 194lbs. Been doing a recomp and eating at maintenance the past few months. I'm just mentally burned out on dieting for so long. So I'm just focused on getting stronger, slowly filling out my frame and losing the last bit of bodyfat I have has made my quality of life much easier.

thats 3 weeks appart. I had started lifting LONG before but I had never taken it too seriously except summer of junior year. that's like 5 weeks into lifting and the second is 8

someone talk to me about what it takes to loose weight quickly, the hard way? If I step up to cardio 5 days a week with lifting 3-4 and with a nutrition of mostly rice, quinoa, boiled chicken, eggs, and raw veggies, could I expect big results in a couple months, is it enough?

But if you want to do it natty then count your calories + weigh your food, we have no idea what your TDEE, BMR, you portion size, how much of a deficit you are willing to go on, etc. so we can't really give you an estimate.

i've lost 40lbs in the past 4 months by following a very strict low calorie diet and lifting. zero cardio.
