1500cal is extremely low, it basically should be at 1500cal as your are cutting out the details of abs/striations. If you arent that lean yet, then you have over shot the caloric deficit

Intermittent fasting basically fixed my sleep issues on a diet. I take 25mg ephedrine in the AM. Then I have half my calories 4 hours before bed. Then another meal 1-2 hours before bed. And I sleep great.

Eat like 100g carbs from sweet potatoes before you sleep.

You'll be fine training fasted, just don't over-exert yourself.

I'm 5'6, and was 190. I got down to 185 in a month though. Been eating 2300 cals a day, but I do 30 minutes of cardio 4 days a week...so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Yes 1500 is way too low & retarded.

But you're wrong about it should be that low when carving abs. As you get down below 12%, you have to reduce the defecit to spare muscle. If 12-15%, you can lose 1.5lb a week, 10-12% you should only lose 0.7lb a week.. this is as a natural.

1500 is only appropriate if you're a preteen girl, or on steroids.

Cardiovascular health & capacity is key. When a muscle contracts, metabolic byproducts happen and during the contraction/tension the blood flow to and from the muscle is restricted; metabolites are cleared more slowly.
If metabolite production exceeds the cardiovascular ability to remove them, the concentration increases and begins to interfere with muscle contraction, leading to a sensation of pain in the motor units and ultimately you'll fail at an earlier rep.
Cardio (in reasonable quantity and quality) has been linked with improved performance in bodybuilding as well.

OP wtf you calculated your deficit wrong or something. im 5'7 185 and am cutting on 2200 lifting 5x a week with cardio 4x a week. even without the cardio i could prob still get away with 2000 and lose over 1lb a week
