Don't fall for the marriage meme. 34 yo here, the only couple in the 28~38 range I see that isn't utter shit (and hasn't divorced) is a couple of friends (hetero) who cohabit since ~2008. They had a daughter after they started their life together, and they live happily in the sin. If you ask any of them if they want to marry first or later, they reply "Are you fucking nuts?" - and there are reasons for that.
You don't need to marry to have a family. On the other side, a woman needs a marriage to get a cheque every month for her alone. A marriage is the premise for a facade. A life in the sin is a choice renewed every day.
