Dear /fit,

I'm gonna ask you guys a question that this 16 year old asked me and since me, a very much 18 years of age adult male who can browse this board, does not know the answer, I'm going to ask you guys. Would creatine be helpful for the 16 year old who is not me. He told me he is 5'8" and 135 pounds noob lifter who is trying to make it. Also side question, is creatine better during bulk or cut or both?

I'm doing, err I mean the 16 year old who is not me is doing SL5x5 while bulking for a few months and then he plans on switching to a hypertrophy routine while cutting. Is this a good plan? Keep in mind he could care less about strength, he just wants to look good

I would totally recommend you man the fuck up and do a strength program. SL is pretty crap, not terrible but the additional volume may be useful? I don't know I never ran it.

I'd say read Starting strength, then read Texas method or Madcow 5x5 (there's others but I like these two) and then go on one of these programs.

You can put become strong without gaining muscles, these programs take that into account. Just eat and choose accessories appropriately as to assist training and not distract from it.

I'm not exactly strong, but we're the same age, 16, and I currently squat 150kg and deadlift about 160 something kilograms, if you, a 18 year old like me, can not do at least that (beltless btw) then you gotta man up and put in the effort.

Strength literally equals size. If you wanna look good do some rack lulls, chin-ups and an roller for some juicy traps, biceps and core.

You'll develop all these muscles on a good program anyway.

Hi /fit/ I am also a legal 18 year old who has questions from my 17 year old friend who is 73kg and 188cm/6'2".
Is his starting program good and what should he include or not include. Will post program in a reply.
