Everything moved pretty smooth. Moved my grip out a little further even and it felt very nice. I thought with 9 comp sets and then 3 pause sets I'd be fairly wiped but I feel good right now.
Will have to go in later tonight to finish up the accessories though.

no. Iv'e pulled reps in the past doing this with no issues whatsoever.

its not the dipping too low. that has nothing to do with it. I've already isolated it. I can't maintain upper back tightness. that fucks up my hip position when trying to get tight. weather I start high, low, or right where I need to, it completely fucks everything up. I've videod literally probably 100+ reps of deadlifts and i've watched this get worse and worse and worse over time, knowing exactly what the problem is and ACTIVELY trying to fix it, but it literally isn't possible.

You can put your hips wherever the fuck you want, as long as they're in the right position once the barbell leaves the ground. IF YOUR UPPER BACK ISN'T IN THE RIGHT SPOT, then your hips will be fucked. its a secondary effect.

I did smolov when my 1RM was 315, and I came out at 385. I did sheiko 29 immediately after and due to the volume cut lost about 5 or 10 lbs, but now I'm up at 450. I'd recommend it for a low-end intermediate lifter

base cycle is 4x9, 5x7, 7x5, 3x10.

With that much volume, you jump pretty fast. People put on most of the weight during the base phase, which is only 4 weeks. I'm 3 weeks in. It's not unheard of that my max could be 20% higher than my tested max from 4 weeks ago.

thats because it kills your other two lifts m8. You literally don't have the energy to bench or deadlift, nor should you. Also smolov has diminishing returns. I'm not an advanced lifter and this is my first (and likely last) rodeo with smolov. Doing it multiple times doesn't yield the same benefit. It's essentially shock therapy.

It works out so that you get approximately the same squat gains per working set, but the frequency of workouts it much higher (as well as the intensity). So the numbers go up faster. Smolov is for short term tho. If I ran texas method I'd get a 5% increase in the same amount of time, but with about a quarter of the overall effort (put toward squat)
