I think we the fittest state because of outdoor activities and because of our runners. I don't think lifting is too much of a Colorado thing (even though the USA weightlifting team lifts in the Springs) I lift at the Gold's Gym on Briargate. If you plan on staying in the springs after UCCS it's a pretty good gym.
