I've been training for 2 months.
Bench went from 50kg to 75kg
Squat went from 40kg to 80kg
OHP went from 30kg to 45kg, but I started doing it after a month.
Deadlift went from 60kg to 90kg. Probably could do 100kg, but I wanted to be safe.
Started at around 71.5kg, now I'm around 74.5kg.
All 10 reps. Is this a good progress?

portals work like connected "holes", i dont see how any force could be transported from the piston to the cube
so why would the cube experience any fucking force at all

i cant even imagine possible counter arguments

Well why wouldn't it exist OP, seems perfectly alright to me
>>
>>34854024
You are making excellent progress OP. However, if I may suggest something, I'll say that you should not do those lifts for ten reps at working weight. If you want to deadlift for ten reps go at about 60% of your working weight, for example. When you want to deadlift 90 kilograms do so for 5 reps.
Now you can do isolations at 10 reps, shit like bicep curls, shrugs eccetera.
>>
>>34854024
there is nothing impossible about the geometry of this image.

also OP, you should keep going until your reach the plateau. when you start having to push past that is when you're making progress.
>>
>>34854391

Mate, I remember seeing this years ago and the discussions it caused then were fucking unreal. People were bringing 'physics' into the discussion and making it far more complicated than it needed to be by pretending that portals were real things.

The answer is that there is no real answer because Portals are not a real or observable thing that we can test. They work however some programmer wants them to work. The key line from the game was that 'momentum is conserved' so the answer is clearly B as the momentum of the moving piston has to be transferred to the cube.

>fishing for compliments
>gets upset when no one gives a shit

>>34854024
I've also been lifting for about 2 months and weigh about the same as you 72 kg
Our lifts are pretty much the same, I think we are doing fine. I eat well and give every workout everything I got
>>
>>34854496
But the momentum being conserved isn't in the piston, because that's not being transferred to the cube. The cube has 0 momentum, and obtains no momentum from the piston, therefore A is correct.

What's even more impressive is his OHP. He can easily do lmao1plate for reps with a 45kg x 10 after 1 month.

the e-stats are real

>Intermediate: The lifter has been consistently training, likely for at least a year. The majority of those who go to the gym regularly fall into this category. Strength score 60
>>
>>34854496
Are you retarded? The only thing with momentum is the piston, , the cube is an object at rest, so it has no momentum. None is transferred, so A is the answer.
>>
>>34854618
If those are his stats, he is either coming from an athletic background, or his form sucks.
>>
>>34854690
In reality, his form is probably shit and he's lying about his stats.

The momentum of the piston itself is resolved when it smashes into the lower section

The cube only has momentum with respect to the orange portal, there is no impulse imparted to the cube when it goes through to the blue portal side.
Conservation is completed when the lower piston absorbs the force of the upper section, the cube feels none of this.
The cube is just suddenly on an angled plane so it will slide down that plane at a rate proportional to it's coefficient of static friction with respect to the surface of the plane.

>>34854685
Kek. Think of the scenario in the portal's frame. If we identify the portals then B has to happen, or that the portal on the other side will move backwards if you want conservation of momentum across the portal.

Who would win, Thor or Superman?

Battle to death, on earth but inhabited, battle starts in New York in Marvel's universe. Superman is just post crisis, Thor is Walter Simonson's Thor (average Thor in his solo comic). Both desperately want to kill each other, no matter the cost.

The Portal would vanish and the cube would get crushed. The only way it would work was if the piston with the cube would be moving. And the result of that is obvious, it'd be B.

I'm pretty sure someone made a mod just to answer this question and B happened :P

The reason it's confusing is because portals break the conservation of momentum laws.

p = mv

if two portals are next to each other on a wall and an object goes in one at v = 1m/s it exits the other one at v = -1m/s. momentum has changed from m to -m so momentum isn't conserved.

tl;dr impossible in real life. B in game.

I did calisthenics before I went to gym so I didn't exactly start green
When I went to gym, I could do 20 pull-ups with perfect form
Now I'm doing them with 15kg added, 10 reps
I didn't do shit for legs though, that's the main reason I started training
And no, my form doesn't suck, in fact 4 people I asked to check my squat form told me it's perfect
>>34854418
I'm aiming for hypertrophy though.
Though I seriously don't know if that's a meme.
>>
>>34854308
obviously A. It might pop into the second plane quicker, but there still is no force being exerted on the cube; and thus it would clearly not fly.
>>
>>34855432
>4 people I asked to check my squat form told me it's perfect
I mean, it depends on who you ask. (Don't let your knees travel behind your toes brah. Don't go that low, it's bad for you.) But nobody is questioning your squat.
>>
>>34854308
>what if something that doesn't obey the laws of physics happened within the laws of physics

>>
>>34855469
I don't know why my progress is so hard to believe.
I eating quality foods, at least 100g of protein per day (often even more), I rest well, and I go hard at it every training.
I also did calisthenics before so my upper body wasn't that weak when I went to gym.
I didn't want to brag about anything, I was just interested if my progress is considered good.
>>
Yeah bullshit. This didn't happen
>>
>>34855580
>120kg DL and 105kg squat are something impressive
I swear people here don't even lift, you just come here to shitpost.
>>
>>34855624
It's more his bench press and OHP which are well within the advanced range; after 1 month of training. But if he actually did calisthenics before, as he said, this is not that hard to believe.
>>
>>34855624

>are something impressive

That's not the point. The fact that he got there in 2 months is bullshit as a 75kg guy
>>
>>34855776

and 10 reps 75kg in 2 months is just fucking bullshit. 75kg 1rm is easily beliavable
>>
>>34855776
>>34855808
To be honest I don't really care if you believe me (and I can't prove it anyway), but the fact you can't believe someone did it just answered my question. It seems my progress is indeed good. Thanks.

>Paint isn't real
>>
>>34855432
It's mostly a meme. Don't worry about hypertrophy, you are still a beginner. Concentrate on eating right, resting well and training hard.
Do compounds lifts 3X5 or 5X5. Do isolations 3X8 or 3X10.
